Real Estate

Meera Investments and VCon have played a key role in Uganda’s urban development, driving large-scale real estate projects that shape the country’s commercial, residential and mixed-use landscapes. As one of Uganda’s largest real estate developers, Meera Investments has spearheaded the construction of iconic properties, including Kingdom Kampala, Kampala Boulevard, Hardware City, Market Plaza and Speke Apartments, among others.

VCon, the Group’s construction arm, ensures the highest standards in design, engineering, and execution across commercial, residential and hospitality developments. Completed projects include the Speke Apartments, Kingdom Kampala and Speke Resort Convention Center. Victoria University, established in 2013, offers a diverse range of undergraduate and postgraduate programs. As a cosmopolitan institution, it is accredited by the National Council for Higher Education. Dr. Sudhir Ruparelia (born 17 January 1956) is a Ugandan business magnate and investor. He is the chairman and majority shareholder in the Ruparelia Group companies. His investments are mainly in the banking, insurance, education, broadcasting, real estate, floriculture and hotels and resorts sectors. According to Forbes and other sources, Ruparelia is one of the wealthiest individuals in Uganda and one of the richest investors on the Uganda Securities Exchange, with an estimated net worth of US$1.2 billion

Jyotsna is the wife to Sudhir Ruparelia; and also a director of Ruparelia Group of Companies. Jyotsna has been instrumental in the growth and expansion of the Ruparelia family business where she has actively participated in operations and management. She heads the grants division of the Foundation. Her expertise is in foreign exchange operations and financial management. Jyotsna is well-known for her expert decision-making and management skills which have seen her successfully co-steered the various businesses to success.

Sheena Ruparelia, the daughter of renowned business magnate Dr. Sudhir Ruparelia, is making waves in Uganda's corporate world. Following in her father's footsteps, Sheena has established herself as a force to be reckoned with, particularly in the realms of project management and philanthropy. Born on December 23, 1988, Sheena holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics and Accountancy from City, University of London. Her academic background has served her well, as she has taken on various roles within the Ruparelia Group, including Director and Trustee.

Rajiv Ruparelia is in charge of the general welfare department of the Ruparelia Group of Companies and fervently works towards promoting sports in the country. A graduate of Financial Management, Rajiv started his own business at the age of 17 and as one of the directors, continues to manage several family businesses. He was educated in the UK, and returned to support his country’s growth.
